Support for Crohn’s and Colitis

As our chosen staff charity of 2017, the team at Thorntons Investments was delighted to present a cheque for £1,200 to CICRA; the only UK registered charity formed solely to support the ever-increasing number of children and young adults with Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis.

Compliance manager Shirley Robertson was joined by her daughter Shannon who was diagnosed with Crohn’s when she was 9 years old.  Since then the charity has offered Shannon and her family support to cope with the disease.

The Thornton’s Investments team has baked cakes, walked in the dark, quizzed and dressed up to raise money, and we look forward to more fun events for our 2018 staff charity; Scottish Cot Death Trust.
